Skyrim is already one of the largest games currently available on PC and home consoles (and, on the former, one of the most malleable), but news hit this morning with the recent Kinect-enabling patch that an announcement of DLC plans would follow later today. Well, it’s later, and the news is out there. Dawnguard, once a mere rumor spawned by a trademark filing , is a real thing (according to both a post on the Bethesda blog and a tweet from the same source. Said tweet also confirms that the DLC will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox 360, apparently following the Activision school of DLC release planning: As mentioned before, the first content drops for Skyrim will be releasing exclusively on Xbox 360 before it’s available anywhere else.
As of now, the content is slated to launch in the summer, though a specific date has not been given. Bethesda further promises additional details at E3. Get pumped, people! By Shelby Reiches |
