Steelrising Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows

Developed by French game studio Spiders, Steelrising is an action-adventure RPG that takes players on a dark journey through an alternate fantasy universe set during the events of the French Revolution. As with most Soulslike games, Steelrising presents a stiff challenge. If you’re on the hunt for Steelrising cheats and codes, you’re not alone, and we’re here to help. Here’s everything you need to help you on your adventure.

Steelrising Summary

Steelrising is an action-adventure RPG game developed by French studio Spiders and published by Nacon. It hit the market in September 2022 for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X. The game falls into the Soulslike (or Soulsborne, if you prefer) subgenre of adventure games, borrowing many aesthetic and gameplay elements from Bloodborne and the Souls series.

In keeping with the subgenre, Steelrising features a progression system where players level up and improve their skills. This can only be done at certain checkpoints, similar to the bonfires in the Souls games. Combat also focuses heavily on timing and dodging, as well as on combo attacks and special abilities. It departs from the Soulslike formula in several ways, however, such as by keeping character customization and playstyles somewhat limited.

Steelrising Premise

Steelrising takes place in an alternate fantasy timeline around the time of the French Revolution. In this alternate universe, the French Revolution was suppressed by King Louis XVI and his army of automatons. The King now rules the city of Paris with a mechanical iron fist. It’s up to you, the player, to defeat Louis and bring his reign of terror to an end.

Steelrising Main Characters

In Steelrising, players take on the role of the main character, Aegis, an enigmatic automaton with unparalleled combat abilities. Aegis is the creation of the engineer Vaucanson, who originally designed the humanoid machine to serve as a bodyguard to the queen. Aside from the main character and the villain, King Louis XVI, Steelrising also features other historical characters from the time period. Players will cross paths with figures like Marie-Antoinette, Marquis de Lafayette, and Maximilien Robespierre, all re-imagined within the alternate fantasy timeline of the game.

Steelrising Cheat Codes

There’s no official support for cheats in Steelrising, but PC Players can install a cheat engine to enable cheat codes in the game. WeMod and Plitch are popular cheat engines and currently support dozens of cheats. A few available cheat engine codes for Steelrising include unlimited health/stamina/mana, one-hit kills, and stat modifications.

The same caveats always apply for cheat engine software, however. First, this is only available for PC users, so console gamers are out of luck with Steelrising cheats. Secondly, don’t install or use cheat engines unless you know what you’re doing.

Steelrising FAQs

Is Steelrising a hard game?

The developers of Steelrising have stated that the gameplay is largely inspired by Soulsborne-style games, which are known to be difficult. However, players report that Steelrising isn’t quite as challenging as games like Bloodborne, from which it takes inspiration. Also, unlike most other Soulslike games, Steelrising has an “easy mode” known as Assist mode that can help the player through tricky parts.

How long is Steelrising?

Players can expect the main storyline of Steelrising to last for about 15 hours. It will take about twice that long for completionists to finish everything in the game. Steelrising is not a short game, but it’s also not nearly as long or as expansive as the Soulsborne games.

Does Steelrising have a New Game Plus mode?

Originally, Steelrising did not have a New Game Plus mode, which was another departure from the Souslike formula. However, the studio later released a patch that added an NG+ mode to the game. This allows players who beat the game to replay the story from the beginning on a higher difficulty, keeping all of their progress and weapons while facing much tougher enemies. NG+ has been a stable of Souls games from the beginning, so this addition was a welcome one.

Did Steelrising get good reviews?

Steelrising met with mixed to positive reviews. However, much of the negative feedback was the result of technical and optimization issues for the game, especially the PC version. Some players encountered bugs and crashes even when playing on the latest hardware. Some Soulslike fans also criticized the game’s Assist mode and felt that the game was not difficult enough to stand as a good example of the subgenre. Overall, though the consensus seems to be that the game is good, some technical problems notwithstanding.

If you’re a Souslike fan or just a gamer who enjoys action-adventure RPGs, Steelrising is definitely worth a look. It offers a unique take on the events surrounding the French Revolution, letting players experience a dark fantasy journey involving real-life characters from history. Unfortunately, only PC gamers can access Steelrising cheat codes via a cheat engine, but console players can still take advantage of the Assist mode if things get too difficult.
