Atari, one of the oldest publishers in gaming, will be collecting 100 of its classic titles for a bundled Steam release this coming spring. It is calling the bundle Atari Vault.
The games won’t just appear in their original forms, though. They will be given more modern features such as online multiplayer, a better user interface, and support for the Steam controller. Players will also be able to compare their high scores online, effectively turning this release into a giant, hyper-competitive arcade.
Some of the games that will be featured in the pack are Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, Asteroids, and Warlords. Atari Vault is being developed by Code Mystics who have worked previously on the iOS Dragon’s Lair ports, as well as the PlayStation ports of Nidhogg.
