3DS Not Just For Kids

3DS Not Just For Kids

None

We’ve already seen a few mature games announced for Nintendo’s new handheld such as Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D “The Naked Sample”, Resident Evil Revelations, and Saints Row: Drive-By but a recent revelation really hammers home the idea that there will be mature content available to 3DS owners. Dead or Alive 3D, the 3DS installment of the fighting series well-known for its inclusion of incredibly well endowed female characters, will allegedly be making use of the 3DS’s motion-sensing technology.

Similar to the “jiggle effect” found in the PS3 release of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, DOA 3D will allow players to shake their 3DS to, ahem, make certain portions of their female fighters move. According to Siliconera, this feature was first spotted by an investor who got a hands-on demo with the game at E3. This investor also claims to have overheard a Tecmo representative state that the feature is in the game. Will this help sell more 3DS systems or does it potentially risk offending parents and the female market for the handheld? We’ll have to wait and see.
