Capcom Missing the 3DS Launch?

Capcom Missing the 3DS Launch?

None

With both Nintendo and Capcom having disappointing first financial quarters, the 3DS’s launch would seem to be a good way to help turn things around. However, if statements from Capcom’s investors briefing (via Andriasang) are being interpreted correctly, Capcom may not be involved in the handheld’s launch software lineup.

When Capcom reps were asked whether 3DS games were being factored into the company’s current fiscal year, the response was “We announced Resident Evil Revelations and Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition at E3, but these are not included in our plan for this fiscal year.” While this doesn’t necessarily mean that these games won’t make the 3DS’s launch, it seems unlikely since the console should be out in at least Japan by October.
