In an interview with Gamasutra, Jeremiah Slaczka let it be known that his development team, 5 th Cell (of Scribblenauts fame) is looking to bring its celebrated brand of indie awesomeness to the Xbox LIVE Arcade. Specifically, Slaczka stated “We’re doing an Xbox LIVE Arcade title next, and it’s going to be pretty big.” Continuing to say, “It’s going to be really cool. We’re very excited about it… it’s totally not ready to be announced. It’s far away. The only thing that we’ve really announced is we’re working on console stuff, and we’ll see where it goes.” Apparently, 5 th Cell is happy to earn its stripes developing handheld products, but dipping a toe on to the Xbox LIVE Arcade will continue to help the company’s exposure and fuel its growth. Ideally, Slaczka would like to see 5 th Cell developing triple-A titles with massive budgets, as he feels they possess the talent to eventually become a major player.
