Advanced Warfare’s Biggest Update Yet Tweaks Weapons and More

Touted to be the biggest patch the game has received yet, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been given a massive update across current-gen consoles–Xbox One and PlayStation 4–that fixes and updates over 100 different in-game items.

The game’s developer, Sledgehammer Games, adds that a similar patch will be heading its way to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC users “ soon, ” according to what the studio wrote in the game’s patch notes.

It’s been exactly one month since we’ve launched Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and it has been an amazing time celebrating with fans. It’s been so much fun playing the game in the wild and watching the community surprise us with new ways to play as the Advanced Soldier, ” Sledgehammer wrote.

Since day one, we’ve had consistent online uptime stability and global dedicated server coverage, and we’ve rolled out several important updates to make the game even better, ” the developer continued. “ This week we’re rolling out our biggest title update yet with a ton of exciting enhancements for Advanced Warfare coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, with similar changes coming to the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 soon.

We’ve included weapon balancing tweaks, fixes and improvements for emblems, improvements within the Player Lobby (including a new way to view your Armory), map exploit fixes, spawn improvements, connectivity optimizations, improvements to our anti-cheat measures, and even more.

Below is a list of the weapons that have been changed with the introduction of this latest update to the game.

  • Bal27: damage reduced, max damage range decreased, recoil adjusted

  • HBRa3: max damage range decreased

  • ASM1: max damage range increased

  • MP11: max damage range increased

  • EM1: damage increased

  • EPM3: damage increased, ads time decreased

  • XMG: damage increased, lockdown mode increased

  • Ameli: damage increased

  • Pytaek: damage increased
