It seems like Amazon isn’t quite done with trying to push its way into the game industry.
Perhaps partially because of its widely-reported financial problems, Crytek has formed a partnership with Amazon that has netted between 50-70 million. In exchange, Amazon now has free use of Cryengine 3.
Just what Amazon has planned for the development engine is still unknown, but it’s clear that Amazon has something up its sleeve in the coming year.
