In Japan, it isn’t uncommon for pop stars or actors to make appearances in games to promote both themselves and the product. It isn’t so common here, but we’re getting a pretty big tie-in right at the start of 2017. It turns out Ariana Grande is going to make a cameo in Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius , one of Square Enix’s most recent mobile RPGs, and it could be the best mistake ever.
This new Ariana Grande character won’t leave you lonely if you manage to get her in Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius . She’ll be a playable party member. Wearing the latex rabbit outfit from the “Dangerous Woman” a capella video , her Brazilian Twitter account has already shared sprites of her character. The current problem is, we don’t know how we’ll acquire her in-game. A gacha is used to add new characters to your party randomly. Maybe there’ll be a quest that will require us to focus?
While she is one of the more unlikely people to bring in for a cameo, it isn’t completely crazy. Her character is quite cute. And Square Enix did have Gackt, a Japanese rock star, inserted into Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core as Genesis.
