Xbox Live subscribers have become accustomed to receiving DLC packages before any of Microsoft’s competitors. And this is probably part of the reason that they’re so annoyingly smug. But 360 owners are about to have their egos smacked around, because Sony and EA have announce a partnership that will bring all of the expansion packs for Battlefield 3 to PS3 a week before they hit Xbox Live.
Part of me thinks that Microsoft isn’t even going to care about this news, considering BF3 is primarily marketed toward PC gamers, and Xbox Live will continue to get the Call of Duty DLC an entire month before the PSN. But another part of me thinks that Microsoft might see this as yet another indication that their control over the console market is continuing to rapidly slip away. By Josh Engen |
