If you’re interested in Battlefield 3, but have no intention of pre-ordering the title, any fears you may have had of those who did gaining an undue advantage online have been addressed.

In a post on the Battlefield blog, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has offered clarification and resolution to any fans of the series who were upset at what they worried was an unbalancing factor in a game designed around balanced and intense online play.



“I would like to start by clarifying that the Physical Warfare Pack is a time-based exclusive,” wrote Troedsson. Those who do not pre-order the title will receive the Physical Warfare pack later this year, though gamers interested enough in the title to put down money toward it in the here and now will receive the benefits of the pack at launch. Furthermore, those who wait to receive the pack will not have to pay extra, gaining its benefits as a simple thank you for having purchased the game.
