BioShock Movie Loses Director

BioShock Movie Loses Director

None

According to Indie Wire, the BioShock movie adaptation has recently been put on indefinite hold. The movie’s director, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, has apparently left the project and is already working on other things.

In addition, Fresnadillo has said “the studio and the video game company … have to reach some kind of agreement about the budget and the rating.” This is apparently holding up production and contributed to Fresnadillo leaving the movie.

At current time, Irrational Games has not commented on Fresnadillo’s departure, nor have they given any information on the current state of the project. However, movie projects do have a history of failing when encountering director troubles, so I’d suggest looking at this project with a healthy skepticism.
