BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Announced at EVO 2017

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Announced at EVO 2017

During the last day of EVO, all the grand finals for the headlining games are held. Generally, in-between games, developers will take to the stage to make a fun announcement or two. Generally speaking, the announcement is a new character or two for an already announced game, but Arc System Works dropped a totally new title on us.

The new game is called BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and is exactly what it sounds like – a big, crossover fighter led by the BlazBlue brand. The game features several properties developed or published by Arc System Works: BlazBlue , Under Knight In-Birth and Persona 4 Arena . The game looks like it could be a new entry in any of those series, the 2D style of ArcSys being what it is. That’s not all, however.

At the end of the announcement trailer, also revealed was Ruby Rose from RWBY , a North American, anime-inspired series produced by Rooster Teeth. Not much else was announced about the game. It appears to be 2v2 and is set to come to consoles in 2018.
