Bungie Reveals Destiny: Rise of Iron

Bungie Reveals Destiny: Rise of Iron

Bungie has just (officially) revealed Destiny ‘s highly anticipated expansion Rise of Iron during a brief, live-streamed event on Twitch. Curious parties are likely up to speed on all of the important details due to a leak yesterday, but we did learn a few more interesting details about the upcoming expansion. Most importantly, what you need to know is Rise of Iron will be releasing on PS4 and Xbox One September 20, and will cost $30. So what does that 30 bucks really get you this time around?

Rise of Iron will feature a brand new campaign that focuses on the past, present, and future of the Lords of Iron. Guardians will follow Lord Saladin past the newly razed wall that has stood in Old Russia for an age, keeping out a dark evil that is now loosed upon the land once again. In addition to the new story missions, players can also expect a new social hub, a new raid, new and revamped strikes, plenty of new gear, a higher light level, and a new mode and maps added to The Crucible.

The legendary rocket launcher from year one, Gjallarhorn, has returned, and all players will be able to acquire it through a special quest line. If you pre-order Rise of Iron , you’ll have access to the “Iron Gjallarhorn,” a special black and silver variant of the original. During the stream the team hinted that we’d get more details at E3 and throughout the summer, so stay tuned to CheatCC for all of your Destiny updates.
