Destiny: The Collection Coming This August?

Destiny: The Collection Coming This August?

Earlier this morning multiple outlets reported seeing a listing on Amazon UK for Destiny: The Collection . The listing has since been removed but there are tons of screen captures out there showing the mysterious new bundle listed for the PS4 and Xbox One. What’s interesting is that the bundle was listed with an August 18 release date. That’s intriguing because Destiny’s newest expansion, Rise of Iron , won’t be coming out until September 20.

If I had to guess, I’d say that The Collection will include everything that was packed in with The Taken King: Legendary Edition – that is, Destiny, The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King – plus a pre-order code for Rise of Iron . This would make sense for a few reasons. The Collection was listed at the typical new game retail price of $60 USD. Rise of Iron will cost $30 on its own, and The Taken King: Legendary Edition has gone on sale multiple times for $30. More than anything, Bungie needs to expand the Destiny player-base and reclaim its once-mighty daily active users count. An all-in $60 bundle would be the perfect way to entice anyone who has yet to jump on the Destiny train. Keep your eyes peeled, and we’ll be sure to update you with any official news from Bungie.
