Rare Replay

Technically not an entirely new game for 2015, but nonetheless, Rare Replay is a piece of gaming history that skillfully blends the old with the new. The game was published by Microsoft Studios and developed by Rare. This magical offering might offend some at its placement within our top ten as it’s merely a collection of past titles. But 2015 wouldn’t be complete without Rare’s resurrected greats. The titles include Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct Gold, Viva Piñata, Kame, Banjo Kazooie, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark Zero, and a whole lot more.

Destiny: The Taken King

Destiny ’s DLC: The Taken King lands among the list of best Xbox One games in 2015. Developed by Bungie and published by Activision. This glorious expansion piece should have been included in the original launch, but we all know what happened there. Nonetheless, The Taken King is a solid piece of 2015 gaming success, regardless of its lineage or historical background.

Batman: Arkham Knight

The conclusion to the Batman Arkham trilogy sadly came to a close in 2015 with the release of Batman: Arkham Knight in early summer. The last edition was bold, ambitious, and even more over the top than the previous two versions. Batman was a fierce protagonist set in a massive world that adequately represents everything we love about DC’s crown jewel. Batman: Arkham Knight was developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Mortal Kombat X

No, this isn’t typo – Mortal Kombat X is rightfully at number 7 in the list of best Xbox One games of 2015. Developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The franchise finally got a solid reboot when it debuted on the next-gen consoles in late spring. Everything from the deep storyline and beautiful graphics to the intuitive fighting mechanics and even the updated game modes easily land Mortal Kombat X within the ranks of top games for 2015. “Finish Him” never looked more beautiful.

Microsoft, Turn 10 Studios and Ford unveiled a new collaboration today at the 2015 North American International Auto Show – announcing the all-new Ford GT ultra-high-performance supercar as the featured cover car in the next iteration of the acclaimed racing simulation franchise for Xbox, “Forza Motorsport 6,” launching exclusively for Xbox One.

Forza Motorsport 6

The Xbox One list would be complete without Forza Motorsport 6, especially since this year’s edition saw a wealth of new features to complement a rather impressive set of visuals. Developer Turn 10 Studios did it right with over 450 beautiful cars, a new set of damage mechanics, 26 real-life locations, and a crafty set of weather features, Forza 6 lands among our top ten Xbox One games of 2015.
