Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair Hits PSN Soon

Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair Hits PSN Soon

None

Last summer, Castlevania: Harmony of Despair hit the Xbox live arcade. This peculiar 2D sprite based co-op Metroidvania style Castlevania was a big hit for the retro fans out there, and it continues to be supported with DLC to this day. However, as awesome as this was for Xbox fans, PS3 fans were left in the dust. Well, it’s now later and gamers on the PSN will finally get their chance to take Harmony of Despair for a spin.

As is the case with many Xbox exclusives that come to the PS3 at a much later date, the PS3 version comes with a whole bunch of extras that the Xbox version didn’t have. For instance, the game comes complete with a local four-player co-op mode joining the already awesome six player online co-op mode. Getting together with a couple of friends to raid Dracula’s Castle seems like an awesome beer night to me.

PS3 gamers will also get the entirety of the “Beauty, Desire, Situation Dire” expansion pack. This includes an extra map and two extra characters, Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades.

Konami has not yet announced a price or a date for the PSN version, but my two guesses are that it will cost the same as the XBLA version and it will come out soon. Let’s just wait and see.
