Catwoman And Used Games: A Purrfect Combination

Catwoman And Used Games: A Purrfect Combination

None

Last week, WB Interactive Entertainment revealed that Batman: Arkham City would be using an online pass system to lock away its on-disc Catwoman DLC. The content, which includes challenge missions themed for the Catwoman character as well as the ability to play as her in challenge mode, will be included with all new copies of the game via a one-time-use code. People who purchase the game used will be required to spend another 800 MSP (or $10 for PS3 owners) on that same content.

Unless they purchase used from GameStop. An internal memo from the much-maligned retailer has revealed that they struck a deal with WBIE to include Catwoman DLC codes on the receipt for both new and used copies of the highly anticipated new Batman title. This was later confirmed by GameStop itself. It’s a curious move on the publisher’s part to allow this, but it definitely presents a win-win opportunity for the consumer.
