GameStop’s Sorry, Baby, And It Wants You Back

GameStop’s Sorry, Baby, And It Wants You Back

None

Still miffed that GameStop removed your OnLive coupon from your PC copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution? While the retailer has no plans to return the coupon to you, worth a $50 copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution on streaming service OnLive, it has decided that it owes its spurned customers a certain something.

Those who purchased the boxed PC edition of Deus Ex: Human Revolution through GameStop are eligible to receive a $50 GameStop gift card and a Buy 2 Get 1 Free pre-owned purchase. While this does nothing to address the questionable legality of removing part of a product for which customers have paid, it does, at least, offer direct, financial compensation for the loss.

Though it was revealed that GameStop’s current stock of PC Deus Ex units have been removed from sale in preparation for a Square Enix recall, those who reserved the game are still able to pick up their purchase and take advantage of this conciliatory offer.
