Recently, console versions of The Witcher 1 have started to appear in online listings. Cool Shop and Blockbuster both have the game down as available for the PS3 and Xbox 360. With CD Projekt’s yearly summer press conference going down tomorrow, is their big new announcement the coming of The Witcher 1 to consoles? Nope! CD Projekt told Eurogamer that this will not be announced tomorrow, and instead a brand new triple-A RPG is getting announced. They went on to say that the game will take place in an entirely new universe, where guns and gunplay will be more common than swords and sorcery. However, the game will be an RPG, and it’s always nice to see how developers work firearms into an RPG system.
