Cliff Bleszinski “Coming Out Of Retirement”

Cliff Bleszinski “Coming Out Of Retirement”

As reported by GameSpot on Monday, June 30, Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski, who left Epic Games back in 2012 after 20 years with the developer, has announced that he is “ coming out of retirement ” to make videogames again, and that he’ll reveal further details sometime next week.

I’m officially coming out of retirement to make video games again,” Bleszinski said on Twitter . “Stay tuned here for details in the next 7 days!

It’s going to be a blast to finally tell the story of what brought me back, ” he added in another tweet .

Notable news about Cliff Bleszinski was reported back when the internet exploded about Facebook acquiring Oculus Rift developer Oculus VR, when Bleszinski referred to Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson as a “ pouty kid ” over him cancelling a deal about developing a virtual reality version of Minecraft .

Back in the beginning of the year, after the Gears of War IP had been sold to Microsoft, Bleszinski also announced that he’d be no longer involved with the Gears of War franchise .

“To be honest, I don’t think the franchise could be in better hands. Heck, Rod’s Twitter handle, to this day, is ‘Gears Viking.’ Gears is just as much Rod’s baby as it was mine. He’ll take good care of her.” Bleszinski stated in an interview at the time.

We’ll bring you more news on Cliff Bleszinski’s “ details ” next week should further information reach our ears.
