Crackdown 2 DLC May Break the Game

Crackdown 2 DLC May Break the Game

None

The announcement of the Toy Box DLC for Crackdown 2 was great news for those looking to squeeze some extra entertainment out of the game. Whether you just wanted the free version of the DLC or the premium version, the added content was more than welcome. However, if you haven’t already downloaded it, you may want to hold off for awhile, as game-crashing bugs have been discovered (via Shacknews).

According to Ruffian Games studio head Gaz Liddon, the cause of the issue is “The paid part of the DLC was incorrectly configured when mastered.” He continues “What needs to happen is the correct configuration files get put on Marketplace and everyone who’ve paid for the DLC gets the update.” However, the outlook seems grim, with Liddon stating “How that will happen or when I don’t currently know. It has to be quickly obviously.” Possibly adding another voice to the complaints against Xbox Live’s closed nature, he continues “The whole aim of this DLC was to provide a decent sized package at a low price with a lot of great free stuff so we can make the people who played CD2 happy. The exact opposite has happened and frustratingly it’s down to issues we can’t fix ourselves.”
