Daigo Challenges America To America’s Game

Daigo Challenges America To America’s Game

None

No, I’m not talking about baseball; I’m talking about Marvel Vs. Capcom.

The Marvel Vs. Capcom series has always been bigger in America than in Japan. While Japan was focusing on Street Fighter and Guilty Gear, America had its eyes on IFC Yipes and Justin “Marvelous” Wong dueling it out over Marvel VS Capcom 2.

The Japanese Beast, Daigo Umehara, is known for being unbeatable in games like Street Fighter. For several years in a row he has taken home the Street Fighter gold at the Evo fighting game championships. But now, he has released a video challenging the United States to a Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 duel. The game is known for being notoriously swingy and inconstant, but Daigo still says he will defeat us all, even with our “10 year head start.”

Then, to show he was serious about the deal (and perhaps to extend a hand of friendship after his obviously taunting challenge video), he agreed to allow fans to ask him questions through Capcom. So Capcom-Unity is asking you to send in questions, and tomorrow, Daigo will choose his favorites and answer them. This is perhaps your last chance to ask the fighting game champion a question before he totally and utterly humiliates our entire country at Evo.
