Another day, another framerate announcement. Just the other day, we found out Gears of War 4’s framerate and resolution. Today, Bandai Namco has stepped up with information on Dark Souls III . More specifically, the PC version. It will run at 60fps.
For those keeping track, that means Dark Souls III’ s campaign will have the same rate as Gears of War 4’ s multiplayer. The Gears of War 4 campaign is set at 30fps.
This is important, because there was originally a rumor going around that said Dark Souls III would be locked at 30fps on PC. This came from a discussion with a customer support representative a fan had over email. Good thing it was debunked! While resolution isn’t always a big deal, framerates can be!
Dark Souls III will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 12.
