We were pretty surprised to see a Deadly Premonition board game announced this week, but we might be less surprised to learn how successful the Kickstarter campaign has been. In one day, the Deadly Premonition: The Board Game funding drive met its goal and then some. As of this writing, the project has made over $80,000 in pledges, which means five of the currently revealed eight stretch goals have been met. More are clearly in store.
Deadly Premonition has been a steadily brewing cult hit for years now. If you haven’t managed to get a hold of it yet, one of the pledge tiers for the board game includes a Steam code for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut .
The Deadly Premonition: The Board Game is being put forward by Rising Star Games, publisher of the original video game. Creator Hidetaka Suehiro, or Swery, has offered his approval for the game, but is reportedly not very involved with its creation.
