Destiny’s Beta Launches on Xbox One / Xbox 360 in “Late July”

As reported by VideoGamer on Thursday, June 26, the Beta for Bungie’s upcoming shooter Destiny will arrive on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles in “ late July, ” according to an alleged trailer for the game.

It is speculated that the Xbox version of Destiny’s Beta will go live either one or two weeks after the Beta goes live on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Thursday, July 17 .

To gain access to Destiny’s Beta, you’ll first have to pre-order the title for your chosen platform at participating retailers and online stores.

It’s been confirmed that Destiny will have increased resolution on the Xbox One due to the Kinect no longer being a requirement for the console. However, it won’t be running at 60 frames per second because the game will be releasing on both last- and current-gen.

Details on Destiny’s PlayStation-exclusive content has also been revealed , and it’s rumored that the content will remain exclusive to PlayStation platforms until “ Fall 2015.

Destiny is slated to launch worldwide on Tuesday, September 9 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. A PC version of Destiny is currently “ a heavy point of discussion.
