Bungie Releases New Destiny PS4 Gameplay

Bungie Releases New Destiny PS4 Gameplay

A new trailer for Bungie’s forthcoming pseudo-MMO first-person shooter Destiny cropped up on YouTube on Monday, May 19, showcasing new PlayStation 4 gameplay and some developer insight from those who are working on the title.

In the video, Destiny’s developers discuss the various things that’ll be featured in the game, and how they are trying to root it in the familiar (as in terms of setting and surroundings–post-apocalypse, the Earth, the Moon, etc.) while also trying to introduce new things that you may perhaps not be familiar with, such as dual-functioning controls and chance encounters with other players that’ll spur on in-game events.

“Destiny is Bungie’s next great action game, ” declared Bungie’s community manager David Dague during the video. “ Very much a first-person shooter, but it’s game where you’ll cover a lot of ground.

While Destiny is anticipated to have a worldwide launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Tuesday, September 9, it’s appearance on the PC is unfortunately not something Bungie wants on their plate at the moment.

“The truth is it’s not that simple. I wish it was that simple. It’s pretty complicated. That doesn’t mean it can’t happen in the future, it just means it won’t happen right now.” he explained .

Destiny’s multiplayer also won’t be available off the bat, you’ll have to unlock it first . Furthermore, the game will be costing Activision (its publisher) $500 million , which has made people consider it to be one of the most expensive video game projects in gaming history as of yet.

Additionally, the game will be going into Public Beta sometime later on during this summer in July. Destiny’s official website was also revamped recently, which afterwards revealed more details on the game’s playable classes, enemies and locations .
