Destiny Update 2.2.0 Is No April Fools’ Joke

Destiny Update 2.2.0 Is No April Fools’ Joke

Man, it’s been a while since we had something really new to do in Destiny , right? Wouldn’t it be great if something showed up before that next expansion? Well, kick back and relax, because there will be new stuff. Bungie’s working on Destiny update 2.2.0. It’ll be released on April 12 and free for anyone with The Taken King .

The Destiny 2.2.0 update, which is being called the April Update, sounds pretty substantial. Bungie has confirmed a higher Light level cap with extra rewards, a Blighted Chalice Strike quest, PVE challenges, and extra equipment, of course. There will be Crucible and Sandbox updates as well. Basically, there’s something for everyone.

The kicker is, Bungie’s going to gradually tell us what’s in the Destiny April Update. Each week on Twitch , there’ll be another tour through things. It starts at 11am PT on March 23, with new things to do. That probably refers to the quest and PVE challenges. March 30, again at 11am PT, we can see the new equipment and rewards. Finally, on April 6 at, you guessed it, 11am PT, we’ll see the Crucible and Sandbox updates. If you can’t wait to see everything that’s about to come, make sure you watch those streams!
