Diablo III Gets Official Release Date

Diablo III Gets Official Release Date

None

Blizzard is well known for keeping their release dates hidden until their games are just about ready to come out. This is primarily because they like to keep their release dates fluid and only release their games when they are confident they have done the best job possible. However, Diablo III seems to be following a slightly different development schedule, as Blizzard has already cut PVP in order to make their internal release date.

The good news, though, is that today we get to know what that release date is.

Diablo III will officially be releasing on May 15th 2012. Blizzard just opened up pre-purchases on Battle.net. Not only that, but you will get a free copy of Diablo III if you sign up for a World of Warcraft annual pass before May.

And if you are interested in picking up the retail Collector’s Edition, it will cost a cool $99.99. The Collector’s Edition comes with a behind-the-scenes DVD, a soundtrack, an art book, a 4GB USB thumb drive, and several in-game items, including StarCraft 2 Battle.net portraits and a World of Warcraft pet.
