What Happens To Cheaters In Diablo III?

None

You know what Happens to Cheaters in Diablo III? DOOM! That’s what happens.

Blizzard takes cheating very seriously, so those of you using hacks, bots, mods, and altered save states in Diablo III are going to be in for quite a shock when Blizzard catches you. According to the Diablo III end user license agreement, Blizzard can not only ban you from Diablo III for life, but also from Battle.net. That means no StarCraft 2, no Warcraft III, and perhaps most distressing, no World of Warcraft. You don’t want to be cut off from your precious guild do you?

Blizzard just felt like it should remind players of this in a post on the official Diablo III blog. Why now of all things? Well, certain players have been cropping up with 6,000-damage weapons and crazy DPS that the game would have never created on its own. If you see any players using equipment like this, I would recommend that you report them immediately.

Remember, the only way to play Diablo III legitimately is playing with a totally unaltered game client and totally unaltered save state. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t killing people in the non-existent PvP mode; it’s still cheating, and it screws up the game’s economy.
