In this military combat game, players control an F-15E Strike Eagle in various scenarios. The scenarios in the base game are Libya, the Persian Gulf, Vietnam, and the Middle East. In each mission, players have to fight a variety of enemy aircraft, satellites, watercraft, and more. But they also have to avoid hitting friendly targets. Depending on the mission score, players can earn promotions and medals.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is equipped with an M61 Vulcan rotary cannon and three different types of missiles, AMRAAMs, Mavericks, and Sidewinders.
F-15 Strike Eagle II Series
This game is the second in the F-15 Strike Eagle series. It also has a scenario disk that came out in 1991 called F-15 II Operation Desert Storm. The disk expands the game by adding three scenarios, night missions, weapons, and improved sound support. The added North Cape and Central Europe scenarios come from MicroProse’s F-19 Stealth Fighter and the third scenario is a new one based on Desert Storm.
