Did Bungie Intentionally Leak Destiny Expansion Release Date?

Soon after the latest Destiny update went live – like, really soon after – a mysterious post on Reddit appeared with details on where to find a dead ghost in the newly refurbished Prison of Elders. Well, curious players went and found that ghost, which unlocked a new Grimoire entry with some interesting lore covering the days before the last city on Earth was established. The entry revolves around a character named Rezyl Azzir. The Reddit user who posted this very specific information, just 16 minutes after the update went live, went by the name Rezyl Azzir. The account was new, and the post has since been removed.

Before the post was removed, though (and this mysterious account with it), Rezyl posted another cryptic message in Latin that read, “Vegisima die mensis noni. ILLUD est venturus. Per Audacia ad astra,” which translates to “The twentieth day of the ninth month. IT is coming. Forward, to the stars.” As we were expecting the next Destiny expansion sometime this year, most believe that this was Bungie’s way of sneakily, creatively revealing the release date. We’ve yet to hear an official affirmation from Bungie, but when we do you’ll be the first to know.
