Dontnod reveals New World War I Vampire RPG

Dontnod reveals New World War I Vampire RPG

Dontnod, the studio known for Remember Me and the upcoming cinematic time traveling game Life is Strange , has revealed a brand new roleplaying game project called Vampyr . As you can surmise, the game is about vampires.

The game puts you in control of a doctor during the World War I era. He is bit by a patient with the Spanish Flu, and this transforms him into a vampire. It’s… not particularly clear if the Spanish Flu causes vampirism, or if the patient was a vampire through unrelated means, but the point is the main character is a vampire now.

The funky spelling emphasizes the y in vampire to refer to a number of moral choices the doctor must make, which is the main mechanic of the game. The vampire in him makes him want to feed and kill, but as a doctor he wants to save lives. The choices you make will change the story and your environment .

This is the second project that Dontnod is working on, which has effectively split the studio into two parts. One will be working on Life is Strange and the other will be working on Vampyr . Unfortunately, the game is still very early in development and no release date or platform has been announced. We will bring you more information on the development of Vampyr as it becomes available.
