E3 is losing one of its biggest presenters this year. EA won’t have a booth. Instead, the company is going to hold EA Play 2016. It’s going to be an open-to-the-public event held at the exact same time as E3 2016, in the exact same city, and almost in the exact same facility. Between June 12-14, 2016, people can stop by the Nokia Theater to play and learn about upcoming games.
However, EA’s press conference will mostly remain unchanged. It will still happen, but will be held on Sunday, June 12 at 1pm PT/3pm CT/4pm ET, instead of on a Monday. EA hasn’t mentioned if it will be open to the public.
EA Play 2016 will also have an event in London, for people outside of the states. It will be at The Mermaid on June 12.
More details on what games will appear will come closer to the event. The smart money says we’ll see Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Mass Effect Andromeda.
