Last week we reported on a rumor that the Xbox 360 would most likely get a drastic price cut across Europe. As of right now the news can only be confirmed for the United Kingdom. Starting this Friday, March 14th, the Xbox 360, which includes a 20GB hard drive and one wireless controller, will cost £199.99. That’s a £50 cut. The Xbox 360 Elite will have cost £259.99 totaling a savings of £40. Finally, the Xbox 360 Arcade console will have an estimated retail price of £159.99 which will also save Brits £40. These major price drops are timed to coincide with spring gaming fever and should spur on British consumers to purchase the 360. At such low price levels it should be considered one of the best gaming bargains out there. |
