Gaming rumors come to us from the oddest of places – some stranger than others. Today another bit of unofficial confirmation of Fable III was revealed via a wedding announcement in the NY Times of all places. According to GameSpot sleuths, last week, The Times ran the wedding announcement for Amy E. Gilbert and Joshua Samuels Atkins. The Times posting stated that, “Mr. Atkins, 34, is the lead game designer for Fable III, a video game series produced by Lionhead Studios in Guildford, England.” Naturally, one might suspect that The Times made a simple typographical error – adding an extra “I” to the description. However, upon further inspection, Richard Ham, not Josh Atkins, was Lead Game Designer on Fable II. This little tidbit, along with the Fable franchise’s success and other leaked goodies concerning the series, make this rumor seem highly plausible.
