Smartphones frankly scare me. I can use my phone to listen to any piece of music ever released, navigate my way through areas I haven’t ever seen before, and even locate the celestial position of Jupiter using GPS coordinates. Now, smartphones have taken another critical step toward becoming agents of Skynet, as we can now play critically acclaimed tactical RPGs on them. Recently, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (otherwise known as the original Final Fantasy Tactics) will be coming to both the iPhone and the iPod touch. The game will be fully controlled by the touchscreen, allowing you to easily access menus and move characters across the battle grid. Loading times have been improved and cutscenes can be skipped for those of you who are battle hungry. 
And, of course, it’s only a matter of time before our phones rise up and enslave the human race, but we will be too busy playing Final Fantasy Tactics to notice. |
