First Guitar Hero 6 Rumblings Surface

First Guitar Hero 6 Rumblings Surface

None

Activision has already confirmed that another entry in the Guitar Hero series is coming in 2010. What wasn’t clear was whether it would continue the mainline franchise or be yet another spin-off. Apparently, if rock group Tesla can be believed, Guitar Hero 6 will make its way to market next year.

In an interview with Bravewords, as picked up by IGN, Tesla guitarists Dave Rude and Frank Hannon confirmed the game’s existence when they revealed their single “Modern Day Cowboy” will be included in the setlist.

“‘Modern Day Cowboy’ is going to be on Guitar Hero 6,” Hannon stated.

“[Activision] chose it,” Rude added. “Honestly, there’s some pirate versions of ‘Modern Day Cowboy’ that people have made up for the game out there. They did ask us what we would request. That was one of our three that we wanted.”

While this seems genuine enough, sometimes rockers are confused – heck, Queen’s Brian May thought his group was getting its own Rock Band entry – it turned out to be a cameo in LEGO Rock Band and a multi-song track pack. We’ll have to wait and see how this shakes out in the months to come.
