Forza Motorsport 5 Gets Long Beach Circuit

Forza Motorsport 5 Gets Long Beach Circuit

It’s time to take your tire squealing action and combine it with some fun Cali fun in the sun, as the legendary track comes to the next-gen racer.

As with much of the DLC we’ve seen come to the game since its launch on the Xbox One, attention to detail is paramount to those attempting to bring you the most lifelike racing-sim on the market. Available tomorrow as part of a free update, The Xbox Wire touts its “…tight turns and blindingly quick straights, Long Beach is surrounded by the sun-drenched beauty of southern California… the entire track and surrounding area recreated with obsessive precision through laser scanning, thousands of photos, and hours of video. From the angles of each unique palm tree along Shoreline Drive to every nuance of the track’s surface, this circuit is a racing experience unlike any other.”

The real Long Beach track itself is that of legend to racing fans of the West Coast, as it was first made famous by hosting some of the most iconic Formula One moments in history during the mid-to late ‘70s. The Xbox Wire staff details its origins, after real-estate agent and racing fan Christopher Pook built it in 1974. The storied history and drama that would unfolded would be well documented, with drivers like James Hunt who “…once had a spectacular lap one crash at the circuit, immediately gave Long Beach international reverence as the “Monaco of the West.” They state.

The update will be available on April 10 th , and after downloading, players will be able to play the new Long Beach Circuit on all modes including Career, new Rivals and multiplayer lobbies as well.
