Hey, Nintendo heard you like Mythical Pokemon, so it put some Mythical Pokemon in your Mythical Pokemon. That may have been one of my worst-ever <i>Pimp My Ride</i> references, but it is absolutely true that you can get your hands on not one, but three Mythical Pokemon this month. We’ve previously reported that this month’s anniversary give-away Pokemon is Keldeo, informally known as the My Little Pony Pokemon. You can get Keldeo by choosing Mystery Gift from your Pokemon X , Y , Omega Ruby , or Alpha Sapphire main menu and then choosing “Internet.” It is available until October 24.
Keldeo has just been joined by a second online giveway, a “second chance” Hoopa available in the same games as above. Head back into your Mystery Gift menu, but choose the “code” option instead (you still need to be able to connect to the internet). Input the code 2016HOOPA and you’ll get a brand-new genie Pokemon Hoopa that knows Hyperspace Hole, Psychic, Astonish, and Nasty Plot. Best of all, this Hoopa is slightly different than the previous distribution, so you should be able to download it even if you got the last one. I did! It’s only available until October 9, so get right on this one.
Finally, we have a new Mythical Pokemon coming down the pipe. Volcanion, a weird volcanic beast-bug-whatever thing, will be available at GameStop in the United States starting October 10. It can be unlocked via a unique serial code on a card and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. It will know Steam Eruption, Overheat, Hydro Pump, and Explosion. That’s actually the best volcano-themed set of moves I’ve ever seen. Good luck getting your card!
