Future Android Devices Will No Longer Support PlayStation Mobile

Sony has recently announced its plans to no longer include PlayStation Mobile for Android phones. There’s some good news for Sony fans, as Android devices that run versions 4.42 and below will still be capable of running it. However, future versions, such as the upcoming Android L, will no longer be compatible with Sony’s service.

Sony originally launched PlayStation Mobile in 2012 with the intent of discovering experimental indie games. It appears that is no longer the case, as, according to The Verge, Sony’s hits such as Super Crate Box were also available on iOS. While it’s sad that Sony has given up on searching for Indies on the mobile front, the company will most likely continue to pursue them for their PS4 and PS Vita consoles.
