GameStop No Longer Stocking DS Lite

GameStop No Longer Stocking DS Lite

None

As the 3DS becomes the current-generation Nintendo handheld, it looks like the older handhelds are being quickly phased out at an alarming rate. first there was last month’s announcement that no more Game Boy Advance systems or games would be accepted for trade in, and now there’s confirmation that GameStop stores are no longer stocking new DS Lite systems. The horror!

Although if you still want to get your hands on Nintendo’s best-selling handheld ever, you can still purchase a used DS Lite from GameStop (I’m sure they’d be happy to help you get rid of some of their stock) and online retailer Amazon still has new handhelds available for purchase. So though the DS Lite is far from being discontinued, it certainly looks like it is entering the twilight of its lifecycle.
