Gaming Network G4 Saved from Rebranding

Gaming Network G4 Saved from Rebranding

A while back, we reported on the planned rebranding of G4 into the Esquire Network . Essentially, the channel would lose its focus on gaming and technology and instead become a “modern man” network, with gaming being only a small part of its focus. Reactions were mixed , but it was impossible to deny that we would be losing one of the last bastions of gaming on TV… or were we?

New reports have come about saying that G4 won’t be rebranded after all. Instead, NBC Universal has decided to rebrand the Style Network into the Esquire network. The rebranding is scheduled to take place on September 23 rd .

What does this mean for G4? Well X-Play and Attack of the Show are still canceled, and much of who we remember as G4’s main staff have been laid off or have moved on. Reports are saying that the network will stay as is, with little to no investment in new programming. That means that you are going to see a whole lot of American Ninja Warrior reruns from here on out.
