Gears of War 4’s Season Pass Is Even More Packed

Gears of War 4’s Season Pass Is Even More Packed

Gears of War 4 is just around the corner. Really, it’ll be out October 11. It’s right on top of us. Which of course means The Coalition has decided it’s time to describe every part of its $49.99 season pass. Which is great, because this is a $49.99 season pass for an already $59.99 game. Fortunately, it sounds like there could be enough there to justify the cost.

The newest announcement is in regards to the card packs the Gears of War 4 season pass will provide. It was originally supposed to have six Gear Packs that would give cards to use in the game’s multiplayer mode. It will now have a Starter Air Drop with 17 packs that provide 85 cards spread out equally among Elite Packs, Horde Boosters, Operations Packs, and Versus Boosters. Each one will help you be a better competitor when interacting online.

The Gears of War 4 season pass is further rounded out with character and weapons skins in the VIP Vintage Pack, as well as 24 extra maps. Buying the pass also means Developer Playlist access, which means you’ll be playing on those maps and using new things before they’re actually released.

I’m still not sure if I’d be willing to buy a $50 season pass at launch. Still, Gears of War 4 certainly is doing its best to make it attractive.
