Gears of War 4’ s Gear Packs have had quite a bit of buzz around them. They’re the DLC packs that people can buy with either in-game credits or real money, though we didn’t know exactly what kinds of packs there’d be and how much they’d cost. Well, now The Coalition has revealed almost everything we need to know about these Bounty, character, Horde skill, and weapon skin bundles. They range from $0.99 to $4.99 and let you pick the ones that have the items you want or need.
The most basic Gears of War 4 Gear Packs start small. The $0.99/400 credits Horde Booster Pack gives you a Horde Bounty and four Horde skills, while the $0.99/400 credits Versus Booster Pack has five Versus Bounties. Bounties can only be used once and give bonus credits or experience. An Operations Pack is $1.99/1,000 credits and gives you one character, Emblem, or weapon skin, as well as four random cards that could be Bounties, characters, Emblems, Horde skills, or weapon skins. The most expensive is an Elite Pack that costs $4.99/4,000 credits, only has character, Emblem, and weapon skin cards, and gives you one guaranteed rare or higher.
There’s also one surprise Gear Pack. A Gears of War 4 eSports Supporter Pack is also planned. But, its contents and price are a mystery. It’ll support Gears eSports activities and have exclusive items related to such events.
All in all, the Gear Packs don’t sound all that bad. We have multiple ways to earn them. None of the items are game breaking. Looks like it’ll all be okay!
