NACMO Bandai has announced that God Eater 2, a sequel to 2011’s PSP action-adventure title Gods Eater Burst, will have a simultaneous release on PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita sometime in 2013.
The developer promises more battles, bigger monsters, new weapons and a new protagonist. It’ll also feature some form of online capabilities, as well as cross-platform play between the two handheld consoles. In other words, it’ll try to do what a sequel should do.
So far, God Eater 2 has only been announced for release in Japan, although Gods Eater Burst saw North American and European launches shortly after its Japanese counterpart.
