Grant Created to Assist Female Twitch Streamers

Grant Created to Assist Female Twitch Streamers

A grant has been created by a company called 1,000 Dreams Fund to help support up and coming female Twitch streamers. The grant will only be available to Twitch Affiliated or Partnered broadcasters, and they must be enrolled either in high school, college/university, or graduate school. The grant will only be given to those who can show they have a financial need for it.

Those that receive the grant have to realize they cannot use it for everyday things like food, rent, and utilities. They must use the grant for things like hardware upgrades, travel expenses related to gaming conventions or educational conferences, and instructional programs (that must be creative or artistic pursuit-related).

At least two (or more) 1,000 Dreams Fund Twitch BroadcastHER Grants will be given out each semester. Applicants can only receive the grant once, but if they are not chosen the first time they apply, they can continue to apply until they are potentially chosen. The grants will be a minimum of $500, but could reach a maximum of $2,000.

Potential applicants must submit an essay explaining how they would use their grant if they received it. The grant winners will be chosen based on everything their application and essay contains, as well as their financial need. The deadline to apply for spring semester is May 1, and the deadline for fall semester is October 1. Spring grant receivers will be notified by June 15, and their grant will be given out by August 1. Those that apply for fall semester will be reached by November 15, and their grants awarded by January 1.

Know any great Twitch Affiliated/Partnered female streamers that could use a little helping hand to beef up their production? Send them over to the 1,000 Dreams Fund website below.
