ABC News has reported that Victorian Attorney General Rob Hulls wants to legalize R-rated video games for adults in Australia. Hulls thinks it is strange that Australian adults can watch R-rated movies, but cannot play R-rated games.
The Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) rates games for Australia. Anything over MA-15 cannot be classified which essentially bans them.
A meeting is planned on Friday where Hulls will propose his idea.
