Harmonix Employees Reviewed Rock Band 4 on Amazon

Harmonix Employees Reviewed Rock Band 4 on Amazon

You know those product reviews you see on Amazon? Sometimes, the people leaving them can’t be trusted. In the case of Rock Band 4 , it turns out some Harmonix Employees were going to the game’s product listing and leaving reviews. Of course they didn’t say they were from Harmonix, and naturally all of the reviews they left were 5 star, overwhelmingly positive pieces.

People on Reddit first caught the suspicious Rock Band 4 reviews on Amazon. Then, Destructoid contacted Harmonix. The company admitted that this did happen, issued a statement saying they didn’t approve of the behavior of its employees and asked everyone from the company that did leave a review to either update it or remove it. If you search the product page, you’ll see ones from Harmonix employees like Product Manager Matthew Nordhaus, whose review now discloses his role at the company.

Man, if you can’t trust Amazon reviews, then who can you trust? Then again, this is the site where people go out of their way to display their creative writing skills when reviewing Bic pens and uranium ore , so maybe a little skepticism is healthy.
