Harmonix Partners with PDP for Future Rock Band 4 Material

Harmonix Partners with PDP for Future Rock Band 4 Material

When it came to Rock Band 4, Harmonix initially teamed up with Mad Catz for the game. It went pretty well, and lots of plastic instruments were made. However, Mad Catz isn’t doing too well. Half of its staff was fired, so Harmonix has found a new partner. PDP is now the co-publisher of Rock Band 4.

Both Harmonix and PDP seem optimistic about the future of the series. Each CEO mentioned new hardware to go with Rock Band 4 in their messages expressing excitement about the partnership, though Steve Janiak, CEO of Harmonix, also said the arrangement will help with the fall feature update plans. There’s no word on whether this will have any effect on the Fig fundraiser for the PC version of Rock Band 4 or not.

In other Rock Band 4 news, One Direction DLC has been added to the game. “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Never Enough,” “Best Song Ever,” and “Story of My Life” are all available separately for $1.99 or together for $6.99.
